Pitt Worx Outage, Jan. 17-19
The Pitt Worx system will be down for scheduled maintenance and will be unavailable from Friday, Jan. 17 at 10 p.m. ET until Sunday, Jan. 19 at 7 a.m. ET. During this time, employees will be unable to access Pitt Worx.
Those who need to submit timecards for the week of Jan. 12-18 should plan to do so before or after the outage period; timecards cannot be submitted during the system outage. As a reminder, due to the MLK Day Holiday, timecards must be submitted and approved by noon on Tuesday, Jan. 21.

New IRS Contribution Limits
The IRS has announced cost-of-living-adjustments (COLAs) affecting the dollar limits related to retirement and health savings accounts for the 2025 tax year, including the 402(g) limit for 401(K) and 403(b) basic salary deferral limit, which has increased to $23,500, up $500 from $23,000 in 2024, and the 415(c) limit has been raised to $70,000 (total of Employee and Employer contributions).

Pitt Grad Student Union Vote Count Results
On Friday, November 22, the Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board (PLRB) concluded their count of ballots for the University of Pittsburgh graduate student union election. The vote count has now concluded, and Pitt graduate students have voted to form a union represented by the United Steelworkers.
