OHR Releases FY25 Annual Report

The Office of Human Resources is proud of the accomplishments we've made over the last fiscal year, and we're excited to share this progress report with our University community.

It highlights many of the initiatives we've undertaken to support our people, and the partnerships throughout the University and beyond that made them happen.

Pitt Worx Learning: New Learning Management System Launches Dec. 22

As part of our continued effort to enhance your experience in Pitt Worx, following a brief scheduled outage from Dec. 19-21, Pitt OHR, in collaboration with Pitt Digital, will launch our new Learning Management System (LMS), Pitt Worx Learning, on Monday, Dec. 22.

Introducing EVA: The Employee Virtual Assistant

The Office of Human Resources (OHR) is officially rolling out EVA, its new AI-powered Employee Virtual Assistant chat agent. This innovative tool marks a significant leap forward in our commitment to leveraging technology to enhance the user experience.

Pitt Employees Are Taking Control of Student Loan Debt Through Savi Benefit

The latest impact report from the partnership between the University of Pittsburgh, our retirement plan administrator TIAA, and public benefit company Savi is showing that more Pitt employees than ever before are taking control of their student loans through Pitt's Savi program benefit.

Recreation and Wellness Center to Open Up Memberships for Eligible Employees Beginning Nov. 1

Earlier today, Pitt’s Board of Trustees approved the University’s Fiscal Year 2026 budget, which includes funds for a 2.5% across-the-board, performance-based maintenance salary increase for eligible nonrepresented faculty and staff, as defined below.

Staff Handbook Update: Nepotism Policy

Pitt Staff should be aware of recent updates to the Employment of Relatives (Nepotism) Policy, as outlined in the General Policies and Guidelines section of the Staff Handbook.

While the employment of relatives is allowed, it is important to note that no special consideration will be given to relatives during the recruitment process. This ensures a fair and equitable hiring environment for all candidates.

Construction on new PRTX bus stations may cause temporary traffic disruptions in Oakland

Pitt employees working in or traveling to the Pittsburgh campus in Oakland should be prepared for potential early morning traffic disruptions from now into July, due to the new University Line bus stations being installed on Fifth Avenue.

Over the next few weeks, crews will be working weekdays from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Fifth Avenue between Chesterfield Road and North Bellfield Avenue.

To accommodate this work, one travel lane and the sidewalk adjacent to the work area may be closed. Traffic restrictions will be removed by 6 a.m. each morning.
