On Friday, September 27, the Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board (PLRB) concluded their count of mail-in ballots for the University of Pittsburgh staff union election. The resulting outcome is that Pitt staff members will have two bargaining units, one for professional staff and one for nonprofessional staff, both represented by the United Steelworkers.

She will visit the University at the joint invitation of Chancellor Joan Gabel and Vice Chancellor for Human Resources James Gallaher Jr. 

OHR Improving Customer Support and Efficiency Through Data Team Changes

In a change designed to integrate all OHR technology support services, as of July 1, 2024, the Data Team Specialists who previously reported to the Human Resources Shared Services (HRSS) Department are now reporting to the Office of Human Resources’ (OHR) HCM Solutions Department.
