* Staff - Check Your Union Status

If you are a staff member who is questioning your union status, you can confirm your union status on our staffunionization.pitt.edu website.

  • If you ARE included on the current list, updated as of May 1, 2026, you are considered part of the Bargaining Unit and for the purposes of Open Enrollment should select the “Staff in USW Bargaining Unit” option.

  • If you ARE NOT included on the current list, updated as of May 1, 2026, you are considered nonrepresented and for the purposes of Open Enrollment should select the “Staff (Nonrepresented)” option.

If you have questions about your status on this list, please submit an online inquiry with the Office of Human Resources, selecting "Employee and Labor Relations" under the Service Area dropdown, and "Staff Unionization" under the I need help with... dropdown.

No matter your union status, you are still eligible to participate in Open Enrollment, if employed in a benefits-eligible role.
