Faculty and staff can participate in the Wellness Incentives program by earning reward dollars for every healthy activity you complete. Participants with UPMC Health Plan coverage can earn rewards for completing activities such as the MyHealth Questionnaire, biometric screenings, preventive care services, and more.

Panther Gold, Panther Advocate, and Panther Plus Participants
Reward dollars for Panther Gold, Panther Advocate, or Panther Plus are placed into a Health Incentive Account (HIA). The HIA funds are credited to a UPMC Consumer Advantage Visa debit card that can be used to cover the cost of certain medical and prescription expenses. Reward dollars are earned and credited to your HIA throughout the plan year as you complete eligible healthy activities. If you enroll in a Panther Gold, Panther Advocate, or Panther Plus health plan, you will receive a debit card with a zero-dollar beginning balance. Your earned incentive credits will then be applied to the card for your use after the claims have been processed.
If you are also enrolled in the Flexible Spending Account (FSA) program, you will not receive an additional debit card. Any HIA funds earned will be credited to the same debit card. FSA funds are automatically used before any HIA funds that are earned.
Panther Basic Participants
Panther Basic Participants will have their reward dollars applied to their September paycheck.
