The purpose of the HR Advisory Committee (HRAC) is to provide a collaborative forum for discussion, engagement, and continuous feedback between the University and the Office of Human Resources (OHR) to enhance the workplace experience and support the success of OHR’s initiatives and tactical, strategic plan actions.
The Committee provides an opportunity to unite OHR Leadership with critical University thinkers and thought leaders in providing essential advocacy, strategic direction, and council. This is not an advocacy group; it exists to provide constructive, fact-based evaluations of current and future OHR strategic endeavors. Advisory in nature, the Committee will be engaged with information on new OHR programs and services, including (but not limited to):
- Review and ensure alignment with OHR’s policies, procedures, and practices, as well as the University's mission, core values, and Plan for Pitt.
- Serves as a consultative resource on OHR’s policies, processes, programs, and transactions.
- Provide insight regarding changes that are being considered to exist and future offerings.
- Foster avenues for rich dialogue and exchanges among all employees to advance OHR’s initiatives and strategic vision.
- Advise on matters related to services and programs for employees and communication between Human Resources and employees.
