Stay on top of your health by attending a FREE on-site biometric screening in April! These screenings measure your blood pressure, height, and weight, as well as total, HDL, and LDL cholesterols, triglycerides, and blood glucose levels*. Review your results after your screening and learn steps to maintain your health.
These screenings are offered by UPMC Health Plan and are available to all faculty and staff who have UPMC coverage through the University. Health incentive credit can also be earned for this activity!

What if I cannot attend one of the on-site biometric screening events?
If you are unable to attend an on-site event, you can schedule a screening online at a Quest Patient Service Center. Remember to use code Pitt2017 when scheduling (this code is valid through the end of this benefit year).
Do I receive a health incentive for participating?
Yes, the biometric screening is part of the Wellness for Life program. You will earn $50 on your Health Incentive Account for a biometric screening. You can only receive a credit for this activity once per benefit year.
I received a biometric screening in fall 2017. Am I able to get another one?
Yes, you can do more than one biometric screening in the same benefit year if you wish to see if your numbers have changed or improved. However, you will only receive Wellness for Life health incentive credit for one (1) screening per benefit year (July 2017 - June 2018). For example: if you had a biometric screening completed in fall 2017, you should have received a health incentive credit of $50 to your Health Incentive Account. If you take part in another screening in April 2018, you will not receive additional health incentive credit for the screening.
Am I able to receive the health incentive credit again if I already received it from doing a biometric screening in fall 2017?
No, Wellness for Life health incentive credit is only given once per activity per benefit year. Benefit years run from June through July. For example: if you had a biometric screening completed in fall 2017, you should have received a health incentive credit of $50 to your Health Incentive Account. If you take part in another screening in April 2018, you will not receive additional health incentive credit for the screening.
