Last Friday, June 16, 2023, employees from across Pitt’s campuses gathered for the annual Chancellor’s Staff Recognition Ceremony. This event recognized employees celebrating landmark service anniversaries of 20, 30, and 40 years. The ceremony featured remarks by Chancellor Patrick Gallagher and Vice Chancellor for Human Resources James Gallaher. Representatives from Staff Council also presented various non-service awards to their members. Following the ceremony, the honorees and their guests were welcomed to a reception in their honor as a token of appreciation for their commitment to the University. We celebrated 176 employees from over 30 different departments. In addition to those at the ceremony, over 600 staff members are receiving service awards for 5- and 10-year anniversaries separately. Congratulations to this year’s honorees!
