The Office of Human Resources is excited to announce that Yvonne Powers will serve as the Director of Employee & Labor Relations effective April 26, 2021. Yvonne is responsible for the management of the collective bargaining agreements and oversight of the personnel policies for the University. Yvonne will work closely with University leadership, managers, and union representatives to build collaborative relationships for the oversight of employee and labor relations.

Yvonne is a licensed attorney with senior level experience in higher education, the private sector, and the federal government. Yvonne possesses expertise with operating all facets of HR functions including diversity and inclusion, recruitment, employee relations, employment law, civil rights law, mediation, arbitration, and union contract negotiations/policy development. Most recently Yvonne was the Assistant Vice President of Human Resources at the Community College of Allegheny County.
