OHR Announces New Director of Compensation

image of maureen pastin, new OHR director of compensationThe Office of Human Resources is excited to announce that Maureen Pastin will serve as the Director of Compensation, effective March 7, 2022. Maureen will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the compensation department, including continuing and launching the Compensation Modernization project, under the Shaping the Workplace initiative. Maureen will work closely with University leadership and the Office of Human Resources to develop and uphold compensation-related policies and procedures in support of the University’s mission.

Maureen is an experienced compensation and human resources professional with over 30 years of experience, having held various senior leadership roles throughout her career. She most recently served as the Assistant Director of Total Rewards within HR/Meadville Operations at The J.M. Smucker Company before becoming an independent compensation consultant.

Maureen has extensive knowledge and expertise in all aspects of compensation, including developing strategic approaches to compensation program design and implementation, job evaluation systems, pay for performance programs, and restructuring initiatives. A Pittsburgh native, Maureen holds a BA in Communications from Thiel College, is a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), and has received certifications as a Project Manager, Korn-Ferry Executive Coach, and DDI Training Specialist.
