Form W-2

Current Employees

• Electronic 2021 Forms W-2 will be available in Pitt Worx no later than January 31, 2022.
• Paper 2021 Forms W-2 will be mailed no later than January 31, 2022. Paper W-2s will be mailed to the address that was on file in Pitt Worx as of December 31, 2021.
• Current employees may still elect to opt in to receive their 2021 Form W-2 electronically.
  • An employee may opt in to receive electronic Forms W-2 at any time. Please note that once you opt-in to receive electronic statements, you will continue to receive electronic statements in the future unless you opt out.
  • New hires can opt in to receive an electronic Form W-2 beginning 45 days after their date of hire.

• All address changes must be updated in Pitt Worx. Learn how to update your address in Pitt Worx.
• To access Forms W-2 for calendar year 2020, please visit w2download.pitt.edu.

Former Employees (Terminated or Inactive)

• Former employees can elect to receive electronic Form W-2 statements by following the directions on the Payroll Department's website.
• To access Forms W-2 for calendar year 2020, please visit w2download.pitt.edu.
• Terminated or inactive employees can change their mailing address following the directions on the Payroll Department's website.

Form 1042-S

All 2021 Forms 1042-S (for non-resident aliens) will be mailed by March 15, 2022. At this time, these forms will continue to be delivered as paper forms.
