Updated Staff Employee Separation Guides Available

We have updated the W-2 process language on these two checklists to assist in managing the voluntary separation process for staff employees:

  • Separation Guide for Staff: Give this guide to staff that are leaving the University or transferring to other departments within the University. The checklist addresses items including the return of University property, technology-related items such as phones, email protocol and system access, ID cards, as well as pay and benefits information.
  • Staff Separation Guide for Supervisors: Utilize this guide when a staff employee gives notice of voluntary separation. The guide is intended to assist supervisors and/or department administrators in planning for the pending separation of a staff employee, as well as, provide steps that need to be taken on or before the employee’s last day of employment.
