University Implements Staff Early Retirement Program (SERP)

The University is implementing a voluntary Staff Early Retirement Program (SERP) to provide staff flexibility in navigating their personal response to the pandemic. The Office of Human Resources is currently working with Responsibility Centers across the University to determine the final list of eligible staff.

Eligible staff will receive information about the SERP, including an election form, frequently asked questions (FAQ), and other resources, by July 15, 2020. Eligible staff will also be invited to a virtual information session to learn more about the SERP and retiree benefits. After receiving the SERP packet, eligible staff will have until July 31, 2020 to submit the election form that signifies their intent to retire.

*Individuals may reverse their decision to accept or reject the terms of the SERP within seven (7) days of signing the retirement incentive agreement

As a reminder, eligibility is determined by University records and will be verified by OHR and individual RCs. Please do not submit inquiries regarding consideration for the program or eligibility. Eligible staff will be notified by or on July 15, 2020.
