Summer Wellness Opportunities

It is officially summertime in Pittsburgh, and the Office of Human Resources (OHR) is available to help you meet your wellness goals! Whether you're looking for opportunities to enjoy the warm summer weather, or you're interested in enhancing your health, we've got a variety of wellness resources and programs to help you get started.

Shop locally-grown foods at Pittsburgh farmers markets

Summer is the perfect time to shop local, support regional farms, and buy delicious produce, meats, cheeses, and more. The city of Pittsburgh hosts several farmers markets, open daily and on weekends, through November. Explore a farmers market near you.

Join a healthy community program

Put your health first this summer by getting active on your own or joining a healthy community program through UPMC. Health Plan members can enjoy physical activity programs, nutrition and wellness resources, and virtual experiences through the UPMC MyHealth Matters portal. Not a UPMC member? Explore the Physical Wellness web page for information on health coaching, on-campus facilities, wellness incentives, and more.

Explore city benefits with PittPerks discounts

From travel benefits to discounted tickets for movies and the Pittsburgh Symphony, the PittPerks program offers Pitt employees the opportunity to purchase voluntary benefits year-round. New benefits are added frequently, so check out the PittPerks web page for discounts and special offers to use this summer.
