Dear University Community,

As we continue to work through the challenges of this year, we are eager to forge ahead with Pitt Worx, the University’s new, cloud-based human resources and payroll system, which launches in January 2021. This strategic initiative advances the Plan for Pitt by transforming the University’s information infrastructure and supporting operational efficiency.

We began our journey to Pitt Worx in 2018 with the launch of Talent Center and our career website. Talent Center will seamlessly integrate with the remaining modules of Pitt Worx: Payroll, Core HR, Benefits, and Time and Labor.

The user-friendly interface allows employees to view their pay statement, update direct deposit and tax elections, enroll in benefits, and submit timecards—all in one location! Department administrators will be able to initiate, submit for approval, and track the status and history of employee record changes electronically, eliminating the need for the paper ER for. We are centralizing these tasks to make Pitt Worx your one-stop shop, so that you have more time to get back to the vital work that you do to support and advance the University’s mission. The responsive interface will provide everyone with the convenience of working from the device of your choice: smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop.

Our team is hard at work finalizing the documentation and resources needed to prepare the entire University community for Pitt Worx. During the next few months, we will share more updates on project progress, and details about what you can expect from, and how to prepare for, Pitt Worx. Up-to-date information will always be available to you on the Pitt Worx website. We will also be working with Pitt Worx Champions across the University to provide important updates to their areas.
