The Office of Human Resources (OHR) is excited to announce that Shahfar Shaari will serve as acting assistant vice chancellor of HR Operations, effective August 16, 2021 through March 4, 2022. Shahfar currently works in Pitt IT as the director of organizational transformation. He recently supported the launch of Pitt Worx, ensuring the University was "change ready" for the new system. In his role, Shahfar will support and oversee OHR's teams in HRIS, HR Shared Services, and Talent Acquisition, as well as collaborate, as needed, with additional projects and initiatives throughout OHR and the University community.

Shahfar is stepping in for Michelle Fullem, who is leaving OHR for a position in Pitt IT as Senior Director of IT Programs. Michelle has worked in OHR for the last 13 years with positions ranging from Director of Talent Acquisition, Pitt Worx Project Manager, and most recently, acting AVC of HR Operations. While we are saddened to see her leave OHR, we are thrilled that she remains at the University to share her expertise within Pitt IT. Michelle's last day in OHR is August 20, 2021.
