Maureen Kendall, OHR Director of Compensation, Departing University

Maureen Kendall, Director of Compensation in the Office of Human Resources, is pursuing a new opportunity in the compensation field and will depart the University next month. Her last day at Pitt will be October 7, 2021.

For the past four and a half years at Pitt, Maureen has effectively led a robust portfolio of employee compensation policies and procedures to support faculty, staff, and students and in support of advancing the University’s mission. She also introduced the Compensation Modernization project under the Shaping the Workplace initiative, leading the discovery and design phases.

A transition and recruitment plan for the Director of Compensation role is under development. In the meantime, the Compensation Modernization project will continue to progress forward under the leadership of Mark Burdsall, Assistant Vice Chancellor of Consulting Services; Shahfar Shaari, Acting Assistant Vice Chancellor of HR Operations; and the OHR team.

Those with questions in the coming months are encouraged to submit an inquiry online at www.hr.pitt.edu/contact-ohr.
