All faculty and staff, as well as their dependents, are encouraged to obtain a flu shot to help you stay healthy throughout the winter months. In particular, faculty and staff who work in health sciences, or have any type of exposure to patients, should consider the vaccination.
The Pittsburgh, Bradford, and Johnstown campuses will host on-campus flu shot clinics; the Greensburg, Mechanicsburg, and Titusville campuses will not host on-campus flu shot clinics.
University Health Rules will be in effect at all on-campus flu shot clinics; regardless of COVID vaccination status, all individuals must wear a face covering when attending a flu shot clinic on the Pittsburgh or regional campuses.
Those with UPMC Health Plan coverage can receive a flu shot at no cost, as well as receive Wellness Incentive credit for having it done. If you would prefer to obtain your flu shot clinic off-campus, UPMC Health Plan members may do so from a participating provider at no out-of-pocket cost. Simply present your UPMC Health Plan member ID card at the time you receive your flu shot and you will not have to submit a receipt or any other additional paperwork to UPMC Health Plan.
