The University of Pittsburgh provides an employee discount platform that provides a broad range of discounts and the opportunity to purchase certain voluntary benefits at group rates through payroll deduction.  The program, known as “PittPerks”, includes many practical discounts.  This program was initiated in 2015 and new offerings are being added frequently.  For more information about the program, click here. Automobile Purchases – Through exclusive discounts with TruCar

Computers – Special offers through Dell and Apple are available

Cellular Telephones – Discounts on monthly access plans and accessories through Verizon, AT&T, and T Mobile

Movie Tickets – Discounts through Carmike and CineMark

Pitt Arts – Under the University Discounts section, click on Pitt Arts and find discounts to many campus activities, the Pittsburgh Symphony, Musicals and more.

Travel – Discounts at Disney World, Disney Land, hotels, and car rentals

Group Home and Automobile Insurance – Features online quotes and comparisons between MetLife and Travelers

Pet Insurance – Offered through ASPCA

Identity Theft – Offered through MetLife Defender

Accessing PittPerks

The PittPerks site may be accessed through the my.pitt.edu portal:

  1. Logon to my.pitt.edu with your username and password.
  2. At the top of the page, click on the “My Resources” tab
  3. Click on “Human Resources”
  4. On the HR landing page, select PittPerks from the single sign-on menu in the upper right hand corner of the page
