Information Sessions for Student Employment PittSource Users

In preparation for the start of the new academic year and the high volume of student hires that typically occur in the fall, we are offering a general information session pertaining to the student employment process.  These basic sessions are designed for newer Pittsource users, users that may not have attended the general information sessions when the new automated process was rolled out in January, or for users that do not hire students often and need a refresher on how the automated student hiring process works.

Please note, if you are a seasoned Pittsource user, and you already have hired a number of students using the Pittsource automated system for student employees, this sessions mostly likely will not be of tremendous benefit to you.

In this session we will be covering the following topics:

  • General Student Employment Pittsource Navigation:
    • Overview of the Pittsource system for students
    • Posting of positions
    • Hiring and onboarding processes
  • Handling of other employment scenarios including:
    • Returning students processing needs
    • Ending assignments
    • Termination of student
