Throughout the year, many employees and/or their family members make an effort to stop smoking. Smoking is a very difficult habit to break. For the past three years, the University has covered smoking cessation medications, but the member was responsible for the copayments.
Effective July 1, 2008, the University will reimburse the copayment for smoking cessation medication if members complete counseling. Counseling is available:
- Online
- By Telephone
- In Person Through LifeSolutions
To register for one of these three options, call a health coach at the number listed above. These benefits are available to faculty and staff, as well as other adult members of their households who are covered under the University’s medical insurance plans. Copayment reimbursement will be provided to program participants for up to two courses of medication during the benefit year.
