All University of Pittsburgh students, staff and faculty may ride all Port Authority buses, trolleys and inclines within
Allegheny County FARE-FREE 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. This includes the Saturday Mall Buses and
the Sunday Cultural Buses. All that you have to do is show the driver a valid and current Pitt ID. Family members and
guests must pay the full fare.

The Cathedral of Learning is the tallest standing educational building in the country, the second tallest in the world.
Prior to 1956, the William Pitt Union was the Schenley Hotel which hosted visitors such as Woodrow Wilson, Katherine Hepburn, and Spencer Tracy.
In 1955, Jonas Salk along with other Pitt researchers developed the first Polio Vaccine.
