What to Do After a Job Offer

After you accept a verbal offer from a representative of the hiring department, Student Employment will e-mail you details about your job duties, supervisor, pay rate, and starting date.

If you are a first-time Pitt student employee…

Your confirmation email will include a link to Compliance Center.

Once logged in to Compliance Center, you will be able to complete all required new hire documents, as well as complete part I of the I-9 Form.

Upon completion of your new hire documents and Part I of the I-9 Form, you will be instructed to go to a University I-9 Service Center for the completion of Part II of the form.

You can only begin working after you complete Part II of the I-9 Form.

If you are a current Pitt student employee transferring to a new position…

Your confirmation email will not include the onboarding forms, since you already completed them at the time of your initial hire.

How to Find Student Employment

All Pitt student employment opportunities are listed on PittSource, the University’s online employment system. You can search, and apply, for jobs right from your computer—and, when required, attach a resumé and other documents.

What to Do After a Job Offer

After getting hired, you will receive an email confirmation from the Office of Student Employment, instructing you on what you need to complete prior to beginning to work.
