Vision Plans and Rates

Davis Vision serves as the insurance carrier for the University's vision plans.  Davis is one of the nation's largest vision-care providers, with a network of more than 30,000 ophthalmologists and optometrists. Two vision plan options are offered at Pitt. Both provide great value at affordable prices.

Fashion Excellence Plan

The Fashion Excellence Plan covers annual eye examinations and eyeglasses or contact lenses in full, plus an annual allowance for frames.

Designer Gold Plan

The Designer Gold Plan is a "buy-up" option from the base Fashion Excellence Plan. Designer Gold Plan participants enjoy a greater allowance toward the cost of frames and contact lenses, in addition to 100 percent coverage of annual eye examinations and lenses.

To locate participating providers in the Davis Vision network

1. Go to www.davisvision.com.
2. Click on "Members"
3. Under the box "Open enrollment/Discount plan" enter:
