Undergraduate
When a staff person registers for undergraduate classes,
the appropriate scholarship will automatically appear on
the invoice generated from the Office of Student Accounts.
There is no need to complete any paperwork.

Graduate
When a staff person registers for graduate level courses, the
tuition is subject to payroll withholding taxes (35.65%).
Spouse/Partner
A Request for Education
Benefits Form must be filled out at the beginning of each
academic year. When returning this form to the Benefits Department,
a copy of the marriage license or other proof of marriage must be
supplied (in accordance with University Policy 07-11-01).
This form will enable the spouse/partner to receive a staff
scholarship for the fall, spring and summer terms for the
academic year.
If the student is registered for graduate level course work,
the Benefits Department will prepare a separate tax
calculation and forward it to the Payroll Office. The
student will then be taxed (35.65%), lowering the amount
of the benefit applied.
Dependent Child
A
Request for Education Benefits Form must be
filled out at the beginning of each academic year. When
returning the form to the Benefits Department,
a copy of the from page of the most recent Federal income
Tax form 1040 must be supplied (in accordance with University Policy
07-11-01) to indicate that the request is for a dependent. This form
will enable the dependent to receive a staff scholarship for the fall,
spring and summer terms for the academic year.
