Did you know Pitt offers up to $100 for participating in healthy activities? UPMC Health Plan members can earn incentives by signing up for a biometric screening, seasonal flu shot, or other preventative activity such as a physical exam with a PCP.
All faculty and staff, as well as their dependents, are encouraged to obtain a flu shot. In particular, faculty and staff who work in health sciences or have any type of exposure to patients should consider the vaccination.

Cheryl L. Johnson, vice president for human capital services at Kansas State University, has been appointed vice chancellor for human resources at the University of Pittsburgh. She will join the University in September.
Pitt's University Child Development Center was named a 2016 Champion School as part of Let’s Move Pittsburgh, a program of Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. The program provided 40 Allegheny County education centers with a total of $40,000 in grants to support new and existing health and wellness projects that will affect more than 7,500 local children.
